A nursery on Westbury Road where key workers know your child well

🏑

Our space

Rooms are organised by age group, so babies have their own calm space away from the busier pre-school areas. Children help prepare their own snacks at the table, cutting up fruit and making fruit kebabs, which gives even the youngest ones a say in mealtimes rather than having everything done for them.

🌿

Outdoors

Children get outside time as part of the daily routine, with space to run, explore and burn off energy away from the classroom. Selhurst and South Norwood sit close by, giving families nearby parks to visit together outside nursery hours too.

Selhurst railway station is a short walk from Westbury Road, with Norwood Junction also within easy reach. Local buses serve the Selhurst Road and Whitehorse Road area nearby, and there is on-street parking available for drop-off and pick-up.

What Selhurst families say

  • Little Rays Nursery in Croydon has been such a wonderful place for my child. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcome and supported. Everyone is so caring and kind, and it’s clear they truly love what they do. The manager is incredibly supportive and always communicates openly with parents, which makes such a difference. I really appreciate how she takes time to listen, share updates, and ensure we always feel involved in our child’s day and development.

The staff are consistently warm, caring, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. They create a welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and supported in their development. The nursery environment is clean, secure, and well-organised, offering a variety of stimulating activities that promote learning through play.

  • Our daughter has attended Little Raye's since she was one (almost four now) and we are so happy with her care and all carers/staff. She really appreciates her teachers and we value how caring and professional the relationship is.
